I have been to Harajuku, it is like what you said, great place for Anime and Cosplay fans

Harajuku will most likely the main reason I go to Japan soon

I will go to Harujuku, but avoid cosplayers at all costs

If you are a fan of Anime and Cosplay, make sure to go to Harajuku because that place have no second else on other part of the world where : - You can go to many place where cosplayers are cosplaying almost on any part of the area. - You can buy almost all Anime items [ DVD, action figures, posters, etc ] you wish to buy. - You can go to many Maid Cafes, I recommend the maid cafe where you can fight with the maid on a fighting video game, if you win she will serve you for the rest of your time on the cafe [ I think max 3 hours ]. - You can go to a place for dancing based on Anime such as the Hare Hare Yukai dance from Haruhi Suzumiya No Yuutsu. - To live action Anime show, the place you can seee cosplayers acting in like in the Anime. - More place related with your Anime fantasy
